Antwand came to VFPS with a strong desire to work. Unfortunately, at other job placements, Antwand struggled to find the right combination of work environment and tasks to ensure success. He felt like a failure having lost positions that weren’t well suited to him. This was all about to change through his partnership with the VFPS staff!
Antwand thrives in situations where he sees himself as part of a team and is respected by his coworkers. Badger Bus has provided both! Hired early in his final year of school, Antwand quickly mastered the tasks assigned to him as a bus maintenance assistant. He cleans both the inside and outside of buses and vans prior to their return to service.
Antwand enjoys the work but even more so, he enjoys the camaraderie he finds amongst the men in the maintenance shop. In particular, Mike, Antwand’s supervisor, provides the encouraging feedback that Antwand needs to succeed.
The future looks bright for Antwand!
