The Right Talent, Right Now
Workplaces welcoming of the talents of all people, including people with disabilities, are a critical part of an inclusive community and strong economy.
How can we, collectively and individually, reinforce the value and talent people with disabilities add to our workplaces and communities? What actions can we take right now to raise awareness that employers, employees, and our communities benefit from welcoming the right talent of ALL people?
October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month. This is an opportunity to share information about disability employment issues, celebrate the many and varied contributions of America’s workers with disabilities, and consider how we contribute to creating inclusive work cultures and communities.
ERI is proud to participate in this campaign. Throughout the month, we will be engaging in a variety of activities to highlight how inclusion benefits all of us – employers, employees, and the community.
Held annually, National Disability Employment Awareness Month is led by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy, but its true spirit lies in the many observances held at the grassroots level across the nation every year. Employers of all sizes and in all industries are encouraged to participate in NDEAM.
