Position Overview

As a Supported and Customized Employment Support Staff, you'll play a pivotal role in providing direct support to individuals with disabilities to help them succeed in the workplace. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver on-the-job support, coaching clients on essential job-related skills, and fostering connections with employers. You'll collaborate closely with our Employment Specialists to ensure each client receives personalized attention and assistance tailored to their unique needs and abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-the-job support to individuals with disabilities, utilizing positive behavioral interventions and supports.
  • Collaborate with community partners and employers to facilitate clients' employment goals.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for on-the-job support that reflect client employment plans.
  • Communicate regularly with Employment Specialists and Regional Managers to track progress and promptly address any issues.
  • Participate in training and technical assistance sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality and security protocols while maintaining accurate documentation of services provided.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to travel within Wisconsin and occasionally to other states.
  • Valid Wisconsin driver's license and proof of auto liability insurance.
  • Ability to pass criminal, caregiver, and sex offender background checks.
