Have you finished preparing your taxes yet? If you’re like a lot of people, you might have waited until now… and may be wondering where you can get some help completing them in time for the April 15th deadline.
We have good news! You may be able to get free help to prepare your taxes.
My Free Taxes
My Free Taxes is a great program that provides free state and federal tax preparation and filing assistance for people whose household earnings were less than $66,000 in 2017. My Free Taxes is free and safe. The United Way partnered with H&R Block and Cricket Wireless to provide this online service.
Before filing your state and federal returns, take advantage My Free Taxes’ Tax Preparation Checklist. This tool can help you organize the forms and information you need to maximize your refund. If you would rather work with someone in person, My Free Taxes can help you find free, local, help.
If you haven’t already done so, put doing your taxes on your “to-do” list and check out this free resource.
