Employment Resources, Inc., a Wisconsin nonprofit, seeks a full-time web and graphic designer to work in the Madison, Wisconsin area.
Position Description
Are you a creative thinker who appreciates variety and has an eye for detail? Employment Resources, Inc. (ERI) is looking for a Web and Graphic Designer to join our team for the development and design of materials published through print, web, social, and digital media for human service professionals, disability advocates, government agencies, employers, and the public on disability and employment issues.
You must have project management experience, as well as creativity and demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in web and graphic design. Detailed and adaptable, strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to meet deadlines and work independently as well as part of a team are just a few of the required characteristics.
Required Skills Include
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Communications, Computer Science, adult learning or related field and/or 3+ years of experience.
- Portfolio demonstrating a mastery of varied design disciplines, web, print, and other media.
- Strong command of design software: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint).
- Proficient with HTML, CSS, WordPress, and familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Knowledge of industry best practices in web design, print pre-press, and other digital mediums as needed.
- Demonstrated ability to organize complex content for ease of navigation, readability, and accessibility.
Bonus Skills
- An understanding of disabilities including strength-based focus and people-first language.
